About the template

This document provides a template letter which is designed to be sent to a new employee to explain arrangements for his/her first day at work and to provide an induction schedule. This will reassure the new employee that preparations are being made for his/her arrival and start the induction process on a positive note.

Using the template

The template letter should be sent to a new employee in advance of his/her first day at work. It can be amended as required to include specific departmental information.

HR23A Temporary Worker (GAE) Welcome Letter

About the template

This document should only be used where a department is welcoming a visitor sponsored under the TW GAE visa route of the Points-Based Immigration system. The template letter is designed explain arrangements for his/her first day at work and to provide an induction schedule. This will reassure the individual that preparations are being made for his/her arrival and start the induction process on a positive note.

The template letter should be sent to a new GAE visitor in advance of his/her first day at work. It can be amended as required to include specific departmental information.
