There are a wide range of recreational facilities available to University employees including a large number of eating facilities, sports centers, social club and attractions such as the University Botanic Gardens, University Museums and the University library.

CAMbens Gym

CAMbens Gym is a salary exchange scheme that enables employees to obtain membership at the new state-of-the-art Cambridge Sports Centre situated at West Cambridge with reduced rates and potential tax savings.

University social club

Membership to the University Social Club is free to all members of Assistant staff. The club is in Mill Lane and is open Monday to Friday, lunchtimes 12–2.30 and evenings 5–10.30 (11 on Fridays).

Local University Attractions

Botanic Gardens

The University Botanic Garden provides for teaching and research. It has an area of about 40 acres, and contains a large collection of plants of international importance.

University Library

All members of the University of Cambridge are welcome to use the Library. For information on what is available to you please refer to the University Library's website.

Entry to Colleges (and Kings College Chapel)

Access to the Colleges and Kings College Chapel can be gained on presentation of your University Card. University staff are permitted to be accompanied by two guests.
