Colleagues are invited to nominate professional services staff for this year’s Professional Services Recognition Scheme. The deadline for nominations is 11 August 2025.
The Professional Services Recognition Scheme celebrates the very best work across all professional services, whether those staff are operational, administrative or technical, or whether they work within a School, department, faculty or non-School institution.
A new category has been added this year, called 'Creating an Inclusive and Welcoming Community', which brings together the previous themes of kindness to colleagues and creating an inclusive community.
Nominations for the 2025 Professional Services Scheme
You can nominate any professional services staff member or a team working within the academic University for an award. Nominating is a meaningful way to say thank you and show appreciation for those who make a difference in our community and I encourage you to give it some thought. Nominations can be made using an online form.
You can nominate a colleague for an award in the following categories:
• The Jonathan Nicholls Rising Star Award
• Innovating and Improving
• Creating an Inclusive and Welcoming Community
• Being an Unsung Hero
• Demonstrating Excellence in Leadership and Management
• Improving our Environmental Performance.
