Q. How many authorisers should there be for one assignment?

You need to ensure that a temporary worker will always have an available authoriser even when there are absences. We recommend at least two authorisers are set up for each assignment, however, the TES system can hold as many authorisers as you like. Please note though that when a timesheet is submitted all authorisers will get a notification email so you may not want to add a large number of authorisers.

Q. The timesheet I am checking is not correct, what do I do?

There is an option on the timesheet to ‘Refer back’ the timesheet. When you do so you can write a message to explain why you are referring it back and you can ask the worker to correct the timesheet and resubmit.

Q. What happens if the timesheet for a temporary worker is not authorised?

TES is not able to process unauthorised timesheets so a temporary worker will not be paid until their timesheet is authorised.

Q. Who should I contact if I have an issue with the system?

If the answer to your query cannot be found on our web pages, please contact the TES Office on temps@admin.cam.ac.uk
