Human Resources

Over the last two years a series of podcasts have been created to help support managers across all departments of the University, to give advice on matters such as leadership and team building.

The series- presented by Reshmin Haq from the PPD team in HR-has been interviewing fellow members of staff experienced in a certain sector.

Six episodes have been published with a seventh on the way in the new year.

The latest episode released in the new year will focus on supporting new starter employees, giving guidance to managers on how best to welcome them and will feature an interview with a fellow new starter.

The podcast series was initiated from the Leaders and Managers network (LMN) and that network is now transitioning to become CoP (Community of Practice.)

Reshmin Haq from the PPD team said: “It has been a great experience recording the Leaders and Managers (LMN) podcast with various guests from across the University on topics related to leadership and management.

“I have got to meet people I would not generally meet and learn from their experiences, tips, and anecdotes.

“I am so pleased I have been able to share these with other colleagues in the form of these podcasts, which are a great resource to refer to on topics like building a team, managing change, giving feedback and effective recruitment practices.”

The episode titles are featured below:-

  • There is Using Leadership styles effectively
