Further to the launch of the revised International Working Policy in October 2023, three new guidance documents are now available to assist institutions, managers and employees in following certain processes linked to international working:

  1. Personal Requests for International Working. This guidance sets out the circumstances under which the institution might support, by exception, a request for remote working outside the UK for personal reasons
  2. Central Fund for International Working. This guidance confirms which employer compliance costs can be charged to the new Central Fund for International Working
  3. Justification of Resources for International Working. This guidance confirms which employer compliance costs can typically be charged to research grants and sets out the process for including eligible costs in funding applications.

Employees, managers and support staff involved in administering international working arrangements can provide anonymous feedback to the Global Mobility Team on their experiences via this feedback form.
