Improvements to the Recruitment Adminstration and Web Recruitment systems are due to come into effect in March 2019, which will increase the range of contract requests that can be processed in an automated way. As a result, manual CHRIS appointment forms will no longer be required for the following categories:

  • Research Fellows.
  • Positions where a recruitment agency has been used.
  • Positions where a department has chosen not to use web recruitment to collect applications.
  • Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellowships.
  • Internal Secondments.
  • Apprenticeships.

The changes will bring the following benefits to institutions:

  • Reduced time spent completing manual forms and improved accuracy of data.
  • Reduced time spent collecting details from preferred candidates.
  • Increased provision of system generated offer letters.
  • Improved ability to track the status of appointments.

Everyone involved in RAS and web recruitment is invited to attend a briefing on the changes. Please note that institutions within the School of Clinical Medicine (other than CIMR) are not required to attend these briefings. The briefings will include an overview of the change, practical step-by-step guidance and time for any questions. Please book a session via the links below and forward on to your colleagues as necessary:
