The Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) has confirmed that implementation of the pay settlement effective from 1 August 2017 may proceed. The settlement provides for a 1.7% increase to the salaries of non-clinical staff on all spine points, except spine points 11 to 28 where the increases are as follows:

Points 11 to 14              2.43% increase

Point 15                        2.37% increase

Point 16                        2.33% increase

Point 17                        2.29% increase

Point 18                        2.24% increase

Point 19                        2.19% increase

Point 20                        2.15% increase

Point 21                        2.10% increase

Point 22                        2.04% increase

Point 23                        1.98% increase

Point 24                        1.93% increase

Point 25                        1.87% increase

Point 26                        1.82% increase

Point 27                        1.77% increase

Point 28                        1.72% increase

It should be noted that the stipends and salaries of certain University staff require the approval of the Regent House. Accordingly the Council has submitted a Grace to the Regent House and this has been approved. The Notice and Grace can be viewed in Reporter.

The increases will be paid to staff in the September 2017 payroll.
