About the template

This document provides a template letter which is designed to be sent to a new employee to explain arrangements for his/her first day at work and to provide an induction schedule. This will reassure the new employee that preparations are being made for his/her arrival and start the induction process on a positive note.

Using the template

The template letter should be sent to a new employee in advance of his/her first day at work. It can be amended as required to include specific departmental information.

HR23A Tier 5 Visitor Welcome Letter

About the template

This document should only be used where a department is welcoming a visitor sponsored under Tier 5 of the Points-Based Immigration system. The template letter is designed explain arrangements for his/her first day at work and to provide an induction schedule. This will reassure the individual that preparations are being made for his/her arrival and start the induction process on a positive note.

The template letter should be sent to a new Tier 5 visitor in advance of his/her first day at work. It can be amended as required to include specific departmental information.
